I am not sure what you think, but I am extremely pleased.
These are the facts:
- I was and still am, 42 year old.
- I am 6′ 1″
- I lifted for lean muscle not bulk (12-15 reps vs 8-10).
- My starting weight was 215.8 lbs.
- My starting body fat percentage was 25.6%
- I was lazy and without a regular fitness routine.
- I would eat anything, without much thought.
- My highest weight during P90X was 217.8 lbs (Yes, I gained weight early in the program and stalled numerous times)
- My final weight was 192.2 lbs. That is 23.6 lbs lost…25.6 total pounds lost from my max.
- My final body fat percentage was 17.9%. That is a 7.7% decrease in body fat (I used a scale/body impedance).
- No “6-Pack” abs, but I definitely have them framed in…they will come in time.
- I can see a “V” in my back photos…I like that.
- I now schedule my day around my workout requirements.
- I now think about every ingredient comprising every meal.
- I need new clothes and a new belt!
I am currently engaged in an Insanity / P90X Hybrid routine. If you want to know the specifics, click here: Insanity / P90X Hybrid.
I have already reflected a bit on my P90X Experience. But there is more to come. For now, suffice it to say, I am happy with my results, it is not easy or magic, and you can teach an old dog new tricks…if he is disciplined and motivated enough.
Cheers! Craig
Some P90X Results and Photos about midway through the P90X routines.
Here are some photos from my journey. Some I am proud of…others, not so much. Can you guess which are which?
The Starting photo’s represent my state as on January 5th, 2010. I was 6’1”, 215 lbs, with 25% body fat.
The current photos represent my state as of March 12th, 2010. I am still 6’1”, but now I am 198 lbs, 19.1% body fat. Oh, and like most males working P90X, I have grown the goatee!
